These pages are openers to different sections in the front of the magazine, each on a different subject, ie: Planning, Food, Fashion, Cast & Crew, Reception. Since this was for the Spring/Summer issue, we wanted it to have a lighter, more colorful and playful feel.

Spring/Summer 2008 bridal gowns

The we had chosen for this issue were very princess-y, but I wanted to do something a little different. So, the theme became Alice in Wonderland. I chose to shoot at Longwood Gardens because of their fantastic topiary garden, which I think added a little surrealism to the shoot.

Delaware Bride Fall/Winter 2008 cover

This was the cover for the Fall/Winter 2008 Bride issue. The bridal gown feature was photographed at the Hotel du Pont, a historical luxury hotel and landmark in downtown Wilmington.

Fall 2008 bridal gowns

In this shoot I was trying to capture the Old Hollywood glamor that seemed to be the style of a lot of the bridal gowns out at that time. I studied old photographs and hairstyles. I also chose to shoot this at Wilmington's Hotel du Pont, which is very historic and glamorous itself. It's decorative moldings and over-the-top decor really helped achieve the look that I was going for.

Fall 2008 Bride one pagers

These photographs run almost full page and open the beginning of the different sections: Cast & Crew, Reception, Food and Fashion. Wanting there to be a consistent feel to the shots, we chose the color blue and tried to create a slightly vintage feel to the images.

Black and White Fashion

I used my love of old and silent movies to further
the theme of the black and white fashion trend.

Beach Fashion

This was shot at a Delaware beach in early April.
I credit good modeling and blankets at the ready
that you can not tell that it is 32 degrees.
